Capo Testa overlooks the Strait of Bonifacio and was originally a small island, then artificially connected by a narrow isthmus (where the beaches of Rena di Ponente and Rena di Levante rise), to the mother island, located few kilometres from Santa Teresa di Gallura. This is a peninsula made up of the typical Gallura granite rocks sculpted by the wind and storm surges. From the beginning of the seventies Capo Testa began its tourist development which by now cannot do without, the sheltered beaches that are used by visitors for their privacy, including the famous Valle della Luna, icon of freedom and anarchy.
